Game time with the Hero Litter means crowds, cheering, lots of action and plenty of distractions. When they head out to local sporting events, they are preparing for their future as assistance dogs to help people with disabilities. These outings allow the Hero Litter puppies to practice staying focused and on task.

Harbor at the pool
Harbor

Harbor’s spends her time at water polo pools all over Southern California.  She’s the team mascot for the Santa Barbara Water Polo Club and rarely misses a game.  However, she isn’t leading the cheering section as she is often seen sleeping by the side of the pool as the fans shout and whistles blow.

Harvest
Harvest

Harvest can be found at the local golf course with her volunteer puppy raiser practicing her caddying skills for the summer!

Hudson
Hudson

The Orlando Magic has a furry fan! Hudson has been riding the train to the basketball games of this popular NBA team.  He experiences the loud noises, huge flights of stairs and masses of people.  He has adapted so well that he sleeps through most of the game.

Hoagy
Hoagy

Hoagy is so active and loves to play ball in the yard. His volunteer puppy raiser is looking forward to taking him to his first basketball game.

Hala
Hala

Hala was able to play in the snow for the first time! This was a special treat for a puppy living in Phoenix! Game time was snowy and white for this sunshine pup.

Holly
Holly

Holly plays her own sport in the backyard called “find the tennis ball in the snow.”  She has a competitive spirit and loves it when the family dog, Jager, wants to chase her to get the ball away. She’ll put on her game face, ball in mouth and wait for Jager to make the first move.

Harpo
Harpo and her pal

Harpo loves joining her puppy raisers for early morning games of disc golf! This is a good way to practice her impulse control while she watches the discs fly away and she has to maintain her “sit.” She always does very well and makes her puppy raisers very proud.

These fun and games are just another way to work socialization into the Hero Litter puppies’ routine. We appreciate all the efforts of our volunteer puppy raisers for providing the opportunities for the Hero Litter to grown in their development.
