Learning, growing and loving life is Able’s motto. Since arriving at the home of his volunteer puppy raiser, Jane, Able has been experiencing a world of exciting firsts: his first puppy class, first day at work with Jane, his first trip to the lake and first play date with his new best friend, Canine Companions puppy Tristan. Able even got to explore his first of many BraunAbility Chrysler Pacifica minivans.
“Able has a sweet disposition and he loves meeting new people and new environments,” shared Jane. “From playing by himself to being out and about in the world, he does life with lots of energy, curiosity and passion. But at the end of the day, it’s time to cuddle and unwind with his family.”
Able has begun to master many of the new commands he is learning, and his favorite is a down/stay. He has an excellent role model who is showing him the ropes of how to become a future Canine Companions assistance dog. Canine Companions Service Dog Kary has taken Able under her paw and is showing him the what it means to have an amazing purpose.
As Able continues his journey to become a potential assistance dog, he will continue to experience more firsts, new friends and wonderful adventures. Be sure to subscribe to the blog and follow Canine Companions puppy Able’s journey to Drive Independence – and Give a Dog a Job.
