Flight School for Dogs

Flight SchoolRecently Canine Companion puppies from our Southwest Region were featured in an ABC World News segment about flight simulators.  Our puppies and their volunteer puppy raisers were able to get airport experience without even having to purchase a ticket. The puppies practiced going through TSA security checks and walking through the gate loading tunnel.

While on the flight simulator, the puppies experienced take off, turbulence, and landing. This type of exposure is very important for our puppies. As they experience more challenging environments as puppies, they will be able to adjust and react appropriately as assistance dogs.

What a great opportunity for puppies and puppy raisers alike!
