Honoring the “Moms” at Canine Companions

mothersday_1Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing “moms” that care for our puppies and dogs every single day here at Canine Companions for Independence.

To the puppy raiser “moms” who feed, train, pick up after, redirect, encourage, praise and love – we say thank you. Your contribution and sacrifice bring joy and independence to others.mothersday_2

To the breeder caretaker “moms” who make sure doctors appointments are kept, newborn puppies are weighed, fed and cleaned, and ensure that mom and puppies are healthy and thriving – we say thank you. Your dedication to our mission allows us to place more assistance dogs with adults and children with disabilities.

mothersday_3Canine Companions for Independence is so very grateful to our “moms.” We wouldn’t be who we are without you!! Thank you for all you do and happy Mother’s Day!

Loved being a puppy raiser for such a wonderful pup, these guys have the best personalities I have ever seen in a dog – if you are thinking about doing this, go for it!
